About Us
Briarwood Dachshund's is located in Jackson MS, and our main goal is to produce true to form, healthy, happy, and sound puppies. We here at Briarwood breed quality minature and standard dachshunds. All our dogs are chosen because of their wonderful temperment. We breed for quality not quanity. With that being said, we here at Briarwood Dachshunds believe that form follows function and that dachshunds were originally bred to hunt small game. We do strive to come as close as possible to the AKC standard, while keeping the dachshund's original purpose in mind.
I have had dachshunds in my life since I was a small child. Henry was my first dachshund and I have been in love with the breed ever since.
